It's that time of year when a walk through a garden can seem almost magical. Unless of course the thought of dirt and bugs makes you squeamish then it seems like a curse. For me however, we are going with the magical. In the spring every day brings a new bloom, a new head popping out of the ground but in the fall, it brings a new colour, a new shade of brilliance as our plants begin the process of hibernating for the winter that is on the way.
I took my camera on my walk around the yard a little bit ago and thought I would share some of my plants going to sleep.
i love how all the hydrangeas look this time of year so full of colour. these limelights turn so many shades of pink, rose.
we leave a lot of the seed heads in our garden for the birds in the winter
this year's window boxes full of kale, boxwood, ivy, white pumpkins and dusty miller from the summer
Have a great day,
