Library like or popular kid cool

Another little show preview for your today. Or for all you furniture painting junkies out there another before and after dramatic style.

My love affair with the lamp black continues and this was actually Trevor's suggestion for these and he was bang on. Although Trevor suggests black for every piece as I have previously mentioned.
These tables now look sophisticated and elegant. Library like but cool enough to hang with the popular kids.

again i kept the simple original brass hardware and did a light distressing

there was a gold band running around the tops of these in the original finish so i sanded down to it for some interest and doesn't make these tables feel too precious to use.

they also had the original wheels intact. makes the table a little less sturdy sit on me friendly but definitely ups the style factor.

BEFORE
kinda plain and underloved

Have a good day,

Meg

  2. These are just gorgeous in black. And can I say, your photos are fantastic. I love your galvanized backdrop and the fabulous old frame hanging on it. The old books are fantastic as well. Tons of eye candy in your photos!
