The Oliver and Rust Spring Show....that's a wrap!

Well the weekend is over and we survived. We had the best weather a girl can ask for plus the fact that if it had rained we would have been screwed. We had so much more inventory than last time as we were setting up we were wondering where we were going to put everything. A lot of the extras ended up spilling out onto the driveway inviting people in, some earlier than planned on account of the fact that our neighbour was having an actual garage sale at 8am. The garage salers were a bit confused about the concept of the vintage sale in a garage but not being a garage sale.
I had an awesome support staff in my mom aka styling partner, cashier, advice giver, cheerleeder and my brother who also manned the cash not believing that we would be so busy that a calculator would be absolutely necessary. I remembered the need of a calculator at 3 in the morning Saturday and ran downstairs to download an app for our Ipad and make sure it was fully charged. He admitted being wrong after the 9-11:30 insanity. Trevor was just as kept up as I was with talking as everyone was introducing themselves by their handles (instagram, facebook etc.) and it was amazing getting to meet so many readers, give advice and counselling where needed and general chit chat. I was forced out of the checkout duty because of my chit chattiness slowing down the line.

And to conclude my chattiness for today, a big big thank you to the helpers, shoppers and people who just came to browse and show some love. We aren't doing this business alone and everyone seems really excited about the prospects in this area. We sold about 60% of our stuff and are giving a big sigh of relief we don't have to cart all of back into the stockroom.

Picture time.....

And that's a wrap!
