The Oliver and Rust House Tour 2014

It is one of my favourite things about blogland. The amazing house tours that are continually updated letting you wander around in other peoples homes and see how they live. Wonder if their things are ever out of place and if there is ever any dust?
I don't want to see these things it is just something that I wonder.

A lot has changed in our home since last year and it is time for a new house tour.
The tour from last year is easily our most viewed post and will continue to have a link at the bottom of this post.

Welcome to our home.

Current paint  colours and large piece sources are listed below. Other info on the rooms can be found by searching in the room labels in the sidebar as well as by contacting me using the contact button or commenting.

  20. Waaaaaay too much going on. My eyes have no place to rest. It's like walking into an antique store.

The undertones in white dove are wrong for the floor tile. They compete with each other.

Nice accessories in your home but that amount of clutter is obscene.

    1. Good afternoon "The Good Life". I don't mean to be rude but seeing as you didn't filter your comment to me a few days ago......... Please remember when you make comments such as this one, to ANY blogger who ultimately does this for the love of his/her home you are speaking to a real person on the other end. A person who lives in and loves their home. Our wrong coloured walls were carefully chosen and our obscene clutter although maybe not your style/taste are memories of our extensive travels and collections from many years of life together. I am not a designer nor have I claimed to be. I am a vintage lover living the good life in a home I adore. Have a great day.

    2. First let me say to the person with the negative comments, you should keep them to your self. I think I was taught that at a very you age.
Meg, your house is beautiful. So much to learn from. I love the pedestal column table in your upstairs hall. How did you attach the wood to the top? I have similar columns and I would like to do this.

  21. Hi Meg!
I just found you by accident on a blog paper trail of some sort ;) and had to leave a comment here to tell you that I spent a bit of time here and ended up on your house tour and love.love.love your home! It's obvious that your treasures have been collected from travels and over time and I just love how beautiful everything looks and how it all blends together perfectly!!
Yours is a blog that I will come back to now! I love that I found another Canadian blog that I can follow while we're here in the US! I just wanted to end off that last nasty negative with a positive! Kimberley :)
