Perfect Grey Tallboy

Happy Monday morning or grumpy Monday morning depending on what side of the bed you got up on. What a weekend. We are semi-, almost setup in our garage for the show. There is a lot of behind the scenes logistical work that goes on turning our garage with outdoor toys into vintage showplace but, we're almost there.

Today I have a sweet wood tallboy dresser in the perfect shade of grey.
It is a custom blend I have spent time perfecting that takes the blue tone out of the grey and just leaves you with a subtle light storm colour. It comes across a bit lighter in the photos because of the natural light but is a soft warm grey.

I like to call it Perfect Grey (I'll probably change the name but hey what the heck right...)
Perfect to me because I don't love the blue undertones with a straight paris grey. They look gorgeous but need a certain space to blend in. In my home specifically the grey ends up looking more like sky blue because of the natural tones in our home.

this dressers size and features make it perfect for just about anywhere. the light tone allows it to fit into any bedroom and the painted original hardware doesn't let it be caught in the hardware battle with brass or chrome in a room.

it is also on wheels so it saves backs when moving

my simple vignette. i didn't want to overpower the light colour with stuff so some ironstone, a brass trophy and a scale with brass to tie it together. that seed sack window was a neat thrift find and will look great in someone's farmhouse decor.

I was also a bad girl with this one and got so excited that I forgot the before photo. Forgiveness?

Have a great day,

  4. Such a beautiful "after"! I know what you mean about paint looking different depending on the light. Drives me crazy! Also know what you mean about setting up in the garage. I did that before my first show and it was a great help to me. Good luck! xoKathleen

  7. Beautiful as always! I love the pieces that you do. I love the gray. I have the same problem with most grays going blue because of the tones in my home as well.
