An Artissimo chair, a sale and where does all the stuff live

Saturday morning exactly 1 week before the day we have been prepping for.
The last piece got finished up yesterday and is in position for its photo op today as Trevor and my wonderful brother finish up the garage ceiling that they have been working diligently on. It wasn't really part of the show process but, we have been trying to insulate our garage since we moved in and of course added the mountain to our mole hill deciding to do it prior to this show.

I finished up this lovely press back chair a few weeks ago and am just getting around to sharing it with you. The finish on this chair was extremely weathered and not in great shape and all the intricacies would have made it a b*^%ch to strip and refinish.
It was however a solid chair and was asking for a milk paint finish that would bring out the antique qualities of this chair.
I decided to go with #missmustardseedmilkpaint in Artissimo and used hemp oil to deepen the colour.

i styled the chair with an antique hemp linen indigo pillow that could fit into a traditional decor or a more modern decor

i also hung some of the peshtemals i was talking about yesterday, on one of the antique ladders i have and styled up a basket with a very small selection of pillows.

speaking of pillows
The etsy shop is having a sale this weekend. From now until Tuesday night you will receive 20% off your order of 40.00 or more at checkout. I am planning on shutting down the shop for about a week after the show to take a recharge break so am clearing out a bit of stock to make room for new goodies.
Pillows or fun finds anyone?

and in case you were curious where all the stuff and furniture i take photos of lives when not getting it's pretty on for the show. here is half the heap in our garage. we also have a stockroom in our basement full of the smalls.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Meg

  3. The chair has a gorgeous finish. Love all your pretty pillows. My sister-in-law and I will be missing this show, super disappointed, but I'm having surgery and will be out of commission for a while. Hope to make the next one and wishing you lots of success. For any readers thinking of visiting Meg's sale it is so worth it!
