Princess Margaret Showhome 2011

In Ontario we have an annual lottery for the Princess Margaret Hospital for cancer research. The grand prize is a showhome designed by the House & Home magazine team.
About a week ago my best friend/ shopping buddy and I decided to go take a tour.

Here are some pictures of the amazing interior. The design work is beautiful with every detail carefully thought through. Although I don't believe I could live in a home of this magnitude, it was still inspiring to see.

the master bedroom was beautiful and massive. all of the bedrooms had their own en suite and this room had a closet the size of my kitchen.

1 of the many bathrooms. this shower was beautiful and I hope to recreate the look in my basement bathroom

another bathroom. a black and white theme. it was striking. the black and white toile wallpaper added the extra punch.

spare bedroom. pretty and industrial all at once.

an interesting idea for a DIY project. this is a burlap covered frame with art sketches attached to it. i really enjoyed this piece.

a children's bedroom. the custom bedding is beautiful.

the laundry room was my favorite part of the home. concrete counters, a tv, craft centre. omg. why would you need to leave.

check out those lights.

1 of the areas of the house I did not really understand. this is the basement hallway. it was HUGE! i am no architect but, it kind of seemed like a beautiful waste of space.

a view into another bathroom.

the french country kitchen. Impressive was the word that came to mind. I love the island.

family room with hide chairs and Ralph Lauren sling chairs.

Hope you enjoyed the look inside the Showhome in Oakville, Ontario.

Have a great day

Meg
